Words I would use to describe this beautiful new picture book for young children are poetic, rollicking, motivational, and just plain fun. Reading is a very ‘normal’ activity for many of us, and a love of reading is something that readers want to instil in their children and grandchildren as early as possible. But this book reminds us that reading is a remarkable adventure that leads us into magnificent worlds and sparks our imaginations. Yes reading is normal, but it’s also pretty special!

The illustrations are delightful and add to the overall message of the book. Adults will enjoy the travelling theme as much as the kids, and it can lead to great discussions about the wonders of our world and what we can discover in person or in books. Want to experience some amazing stuff? Simple. Just grab a book!
