‘Uncomplicated: Taking the Stress Out of Home Cooking’ and ‘Dinner Uncomplicated: Fixing a delicious meal every night of the week’ by Claire Tansey

In almost every area of my life I prefer simplicity, which is why I was drawn to Claire Tansey’s cookbook Uncomplicated: Taking the Stress Out of Home Cooking two years ago. When it comes to ingredients, give me just a few simple ones that I can pronounce, know how to find in the grocery store, and be flexible with. When it comes to instructions, just minimal ones please! I’ve been using Uncomplicated for a couple of years now so was super excited to see there was a new one with a Dinner focus! Claire Tansey’s recipes are simply delicious and everyday useful. And during the pandemic finding quick ways to cook healthy meals is ever so key for busy families.

Recipes in Dinner Uncomplicated are grouped under helpful categories, each with a different focus:

15 Minutes (prep time)
45 Minutes or Less (prep time)
Set It and Forget It (slow cooker/oven)
Make it Ahead (freeze or refrigerate for later)
Sunday Stash (batch cooking)
Weekends and Celebrations (a hint of fancy)
Side Dishes (fun veggies)

Important Note: I have been using Uncomplicated on my Kindle and have liked it in that format, but Dinner Uncomplicated is NOT SUPPORTED OR FORMATTED WELL ON KINDLE. Get the print edition.

Claire Tansey was on Toronto’s Breakfast Television. Here’s the clip:
