‘The Missing Sapphire of Zangrabar: A Patricia Fisher Mystery (Patricia Fisher Cruise Ship # 1)

Rating: 3 out of 5.

In an impetuous move, Patricia Fisher boards a cruise ship in despair after her husband cheats on her with her best friend. The journey of luxury she had envisioned quickly turns into a hapless adventure where she is wrongly accused of murder and must take matters into her own hands to free herself and find the culprits. In the process, Patricia discovers a lot about herself and what she wants for her life going forward.

This was a funny and encouraging little light mystery that was a bit cliché, but pleasant enough to read and had nothing offensive in it (aside from the requisite murders–nothing explicit, no bad language, and some personal growth advice to boot). I liked this “cozy mystery” and will definitely read more, but I’m wondering why I can’t find any Steve Higgs books in public libraries? It seems weird that there’s not. Does anyone know?

From the author (a 25 year army veteran): “I like to write and have a head filled with stories clamouring to get out. I live in the southeast corner of England in a small village surrounded by vineyards and spend my days tucked inside a log cabin at the bottom of my garden. I have two dachshunds (which he affectionately calls his lazy sausage dogs), five chickens, two beautiful children, and a wife who smiles at me every day. One thing I know for certain, is that there are lots of books to come and each will be as fast-paced and fun-filled as all the others.”

Steve Higgs has multiple series. For his website: click here.
